For the Love of Driftwood: All Washed Up Returns
Ditch your pencil, get out your pen and put this on your calendar. Main Street Vermilion is happy to bring back this popular event this summer!
WHAT? ALL WASHED UP 2021 - Vermilion’s 3rd Annual Driftwood Art Contest
WHEN? Saturday, July 31, 10AM-3PM
WHERE? Exchange Park (Main & Liberty) in the heart of downtown Vermilion.
WHY? In a word: FUN! Get out and celebrate the beauty of Vermilion, the gift of our glorious Lake Erie, and the creativity it inspires in folks of all ages and abilities.
WHO? You, of course! As a contestant or a spectator. If you want to enter a driftwood creation, click here for complete information. But if you just want to come to admire some creative and amazing driftwood art, we’ll see you there. Don’t forget to bring the family and friends. There are plenty of nearby places for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We recommend all three.
Everyone is welcome to enter their creations in ALL WASHED UP. Ribbons for 1st prize, runner up, and honorable mention will be awarded in each category, as well as the coveted People’s Choice Award. For details and a registration form, click here.
HOW? How will we know which driftwood entry is the best? While you’re there, cast your ballot for the People’s Choice award winner.
Before you dash to the beach to gather materials, take a few minutes to read Driftwood 101, your guide to safely gather, disinfect, and work with driftwood.
We hope you are looking forward to this event!
Note: This event is being planned with the health and safety of our contestants and guests as a priority. We will adhere to all guidelines and mandates in place at that time.
